The pedologic properties of the planting site, the tough loose clay around Corleone, the vineyards trained in the vertical trellis style and exposed to the south-east at a 500 m altitude have produced this strong and determined Nero d’Avola varietal, a very elegant wine.
It is dedicated to the memory of Peppino Impastato, a young Sicilian murdered by the mafia, whose ideas still arouse the passion of freedom lovers.
Tasting: Very deep ruby colour with purple nuances, its smell contains all the strength and class of perfectly ripe Nero d’Avola grapes. Its mineral scent, almost arousing salty sensations, is enriched with a powerful fruity note and a fine touch of spices. It tastes perfect in the mouth and combines freshness with a deep and sudden ripe red berry aftertaste. The tannic texture is extremely fine and perfectly integrated into the supporting structure of the wine. Very long and complex closing sensations.
