The traditional Catarratto grapes, from vineyards older than twenty years, grow at Giabbascio on reddish and fresh sandy earth, and followed a slow and constant ripening trend. The result was ripe grapes with significant acidity.
Terre Rosse di Giabbascio is dedicated to Pio La Torre and to his never-ending struggle for peace and justice.
Tasting: Very bright pale yellow, with green-gold hues, it has an elegant smell, with notes of tropical fruits and broom flowers, enriched with touches of almond and pervaded with a mineral scent. Soft, fresh, and encompassing in the mouth, in perfect consistency with the olfactory sensations. Long-lasting and rich fruity aftertaste.
