Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo
Production area: Grinzane Cavour, La Morra
Vinification: stemming and soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation and maceration on the skins for 16 days at controlled temperature. During the maceration delestages are made to enhance the extraction of color.
Aging and maturation: 24 months in oak barrels and for 12 months in bottle.
Tasting notes: Brilliant, garnet-red color of good intensity, with slight garnet/orange highlights. Ethereal, intense and persistent bouquet with violet notes, cherry, spices (cinnamon, cloves), leather. In the mouth is dry, warm, of generous body, robust and suitably tannic, but not too austere, soft, balanced and harmonic, with very intense and persistent finish with sensations reminiscent of the nose.
